Asphalt Shingle Damage
🌨️ Hail can cause hidden damage to shingles that isn’t immediately visible but may lead to premature aging over time. ⏳ Without obvious signs, it’s hard to tell how much damage has occurred. 🕵️♂️ This hidden damage might not appear for months or even years, potentially shortening the lifespan of your roof. 🏠🛠️

Cedar Shake Damage
🌩️ Hail can damage cedar roofing, but most damage is limited to harmless denting. 🪵 Significant damage is rare and usually affects older roofs (15+ years) 🏚️ or those without preservation treatment. 🛡️ Larger hailstones 🧊 increase the risk of more serious damage in these cases. 🛠️

Gutter Hail Damage
🌩️ If your roof has hail damage, chances are your gutters do too. 🏠 Most gutters are made of aluminum—durable against rain, snow, and ice—but not immune to hail. 🌨️ Hail strong enough to crack a windshield or dent shingles can easily dent or damage gutters as well. 🛠️

Siding Hail Damage
🌩️ If hail causes holes or cracks, water can seep through and damage your siding 💧🏠. This moisture can lead to further damage inside the house. ⚠️ With each storm, your home’s structural integrity is at risk. One crack can quickly turn into many more, worsening the problem.

Hail Damage to Roof Vents
🌨️ In some cases, hail can damage shingles enough to break through the felt matting, exposing the fibers underneath. 🪵 Another way to spot hail damage is by checking your roof vents—hail often leaves dents or marks on the metal venting systems. 🛠️🔍
